Electronic music needs space.
320 FM is an independent internet radio station for electronic music. Since 2011, our focus has been on giving music the space it deserves, rather than rushing from one track to the next. Our programming brings together Techno, Melodic Techno, Tech House and Deep House with selected residents, international shows and carefully curated DJ sets.
320 FM is not an endless algorithmic playlist or an advertising channel. We see radio as a curated medium: people select the music, shape the atmosphere and connect artists, shows and listeners.

The technical streaming story behind 320 FM began in 1998: co-founder Carsten Luckmann started with ICY and ran audio streams on his own servers from the outset. SHOUTcast later became one of the defining streaming technologies in this development.
What began with hands-on work, a willingness to experiment and technical curiosity grew into an established infrastructure over the years. Streaming was provided not only for our own projects, but also for well-known radio broadcasters and external stations. To this day, a substantial part of this technology deliberately runs on our own servers: under our control, independent of platforms and without giving up full control of the product.
Along the way, numerous stations and projects were created or became part of our journey. Younic FM, Lukes Spielwiese, Stromkraft Radio and Skywalker FM represent different phases, ideas and musical directions. Each served as a place to experiment, learn and develop an identity. Together, they helped shape the clear direction 320 FM has today.
One principle has remained constant across all these projects: a clear direction, powerful sound and complete independence. We do not build radio around metrics, audience reach or short-lived trends. We choose music based on quality and the conviction that it belongs on 320 FM.

We want to feature more than established names. With 320 FM Newcomer, we are opening our schedule to new DJs. Starting on 5 November 2026, selected newcomer sets will air every Thursday from 14:00 to 17:00 Berlin time as part of our regular programming. The selection is based on sound, quality and personality, not reach or follower counts.

320 FM brings radio, artists and listeners together on one platform. Discover a resident and find out more about the artist and their shows. If you miss a show, many sets are available to listen to again later. If you produce music or DJ, our newcomer programme offers a way to become part of the schedule.
Our aim is simple: less distraction, more music. The technology stays in the background, with the stream taking centre stage.
