Josh Wink and Simon Vuarambon have joined forces on ‘Metro / Grey Area’, a two-track release available via John Digweed’s Bedrock Records. The project brings together a rework of Wink’s ‘Metro’ and an original production from Vuarambon.
On the A-side, Vuarambon reworks ‘Metro’, taking the original toward the deeper progressive sound associated with his recent productions. The track circulated in DJ sets throughout the summer ahead of its official release.
The B-side features ‘Grey Area’, a solo production by Vuarambon. Together, the two tracks form a release built around gradually developing arrangements and progressive textures.
Alongside its digital availability, ‘Metro / Grey Area’ was pressed as a limited 12-inch vinyl edition of 325 copies, which has already sold out through the Bedrock Records store.
For Wink, the release follows his recent remix of Chris Liebing’s ‘Eye C’ for CLR and his Ovum Recordings single ‘Futurama’, developed from a rediscovered recording of his first Los Angeles performance in 1994. His catalog also includes ‘Higher State of Consciousness’, ‘Don’t Laugh’, and ‘I’m Ready’.
Meanwhile, Swiss producer Vuarambon, based in Buenos Aires, has released music through Bedrock Records, Global Underground, and Guy J’s Early Morning label. His track ‘Stamina’ previously reached No. 1 on Beatport’s Progressive House chart.
