INNELLEA has released ‘Reckless 69’, a new single exploring his connection to trance music. Available through his imprint Belonging, the release is accompanied by a short film that continues the artist’s satirical examination of electronic music culture.
The track revisits the melodic influences that shaped INNELLEA’s earlier productions, introducing a faster and brighter direction. It follows ‘Slave to the Hype’ and ‘Bounce Music’, two releases that formed part of his recent creative transformation.
Earlier this year, INNELLEA stepped away from performing and social media, publicly acknowledging a period of creative uncertainty. His subsequent return introduced a new visual identity built around parody, questioning the industry’s relationship with trends, manufactured personas, and expectations surrounding artists.
The accompanying eight-minute film, directed by Marco Fumolo, extends those ideas through absurdist imagery, including scenes featuring a ghettoblaster and an exploding scooter. Presented as a complete film on YouTube and divided into episodes for social media, the project examines the increasingly blurred distinction between performance, authenticity, and spectacle.
The film was also scheduled for a screening during the Amsterdam Dance Event.
