Global Underground has released ‘THIRTY’, a 30-track compilation celebrating three decades of the electronic music imprint. The collection brings together 30 exclusive productions from established and contemporary artists.
Founded in 1996, Global Underground developed its identity through DJ mix compilations connected to international club destinations. The anniversary release revisits that legacy through a selection of new material spanning the label’s progressive and melodic electronic music territory.
Four advance singles from ‘THIRTY’ reached number one on Beatport: Guy J‘s ‘Rise’, Dave Seaman and Quivver‘s ‘Starship Disco’, Simon Vuarambon‘s ‘Stamina’, and Trilucid and Phil Martyn‘s ‘Atlas’.
Additional contributors include Nicky Elisabeth, Yulia Niko, HotLap, Spencer Brown, Rodriguez Jr., Danny Howells, Nick Warren, Gorge, and Dusty Kid. The compilation also features ‘Night Sky’, a collaboration between Nadia Ali and Frankey & Sandrino.
“We are beyond excited to be releasing our THIRTY album to the world, 30 original exclusive tracks from 30 amazing artists, what a better way to celebrate 3 decades in dance?” says Andy Horsfield, founder of Global Underground.
The anniversary collection is offered in several formats. Its double-CD edition presents all 30 tracks across two DJ mixes, while the three-disc vinyl edition includes a selection of the compilation. A Collector’s Edition combines the complete unmixed collection on five vinyl records with the double-CD edition and additional content. Digital download and streaming editions are also available.
