Daft Punk and the LEGO Group have announced a new partnership spanning products, content, and brand experiences. The collaboration will bring the French duo’s visual identity into the LEGO universe.
The announcement introduces a film featuring Daft Punk minifigures following a holographic red brick through an evolving environment before arriving at a brick-built console. The film features two tracks from the duo’s catalog: ‘Voyager’, from their 2001 album ‘Discovery’, and ‘Human After All’, the title track of their 2005 album.
The first product milestone involves a fan-designed LEGO Ideas concert set based on Daft Punk’s pyramid stage from their 2007 ‘Alive’ tour. Created by a father and son from Luxembourg, the project won the LEGO Ideas Music to Our Ears challenge in 2020 and subsequently reached 10,000 supporters. It will now enter official product development.
“The pyramid stage is one of the most recognisable expressions of Daft Punk’s visual world, so it feels fitting that this fan-created design will be centre stage of this partnership. Fans have always played an important part in Daft Punk’s story, and we are excited to see that creativity reflected through the LEGO universe.” says Cédric Hervet, Creative Director for Daft Punk.
The collaboration was first teased on October 21st through ‘Daft Punk – WDPK 83.7’, where a 30-second transmission featured a red LEGO brick.
According to the announcement, further projects are planned for 2027, including additional content and brand experiences.
